2 Corinthians 2:11
“Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.”
As believers, we are called to be vigilant and discerning, aware that the enemy of our souls—Satan—continues to use subtle yet destructive tactics to hinder our walk with God. Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 2:11 that we must not be ignorant of the enemy’s devices. Awareness is the first step to overcoming.
In today’s world, the enemy often doesn’t come with horns and fire but with distraction, deception, and division. He uses technology to distract us from prayer, social media to foster comparison and discontent, and entertainment to dull our spiritual senses. He sows doubt through misinformation, isolates through offense, and exhausts through busyness.
But we are not left vulnerable. We have the armor of God, the counsel of Scripture, and the power of the Holy Spirit. The Word sharpens our discernment. Prayer aligns our hearts with heaven. Fellowship strengthens our defenses.
Let us be proactive, not passive. Let us watch with spiritual eyes wide open, and hearts grounded in truth. Jesus has already disarmed the enemy at the cross. We do not fight for victory—we fight from victory. Stay rooted. Stay ready. The enemy is cunning, but our God is greater.
